Ok I haven't written here for some time but I'm back with a post about something important to me.

Since 2009 I've been interested in the photography taken inside abandoned buildings in Japan. Foreign people call this "Urban Exploring" but in Japan it's just Haikyo (廃墟).

Why on earth would I be interested in seeing moldy old crumbling buildings?  For me it's simply an acknowledgement that life goes on without any of us taking part. In 50 or so years I won't be alive and neither will you probably!
You can also learn about the history of a place by seeing what life was like 20 or so years ago, to me it's very interesting.

Saw an article that seemed interesting on MSN Motoring recently after checking my emails and decided to have a look.
It's called "Car lovers must do these things at least once".

Some of the things on there are fairly standard (drive on the autobahn, track days etc) but two stood out to me.

The first one that related to me was "Own a fun weekend car".
I only drive on the weekends because where I work it's only a 17 minute bus ride and parking is crazy. It's just much easier to take public transport. I'd love to own something charming like a Nissan Fiagro (seriously google this lil cutie!!!) purely for weekend fun.

Next is "Drive your heroes"
The article encourages people to actually own the car that they've wanted since childhood. This resonates strongly with me as I've wanted an AE86 for almost 15 years but the people around me just aren't supportive of me owning one.

Signs are pointing towards it being a good time to buy a Hachiroku actually with the prices dropping about 9k since this time last year when I was looking but I have to focus on other things right now even though I have the money.

Maybe next year...

This weekend was really good and I didn't have to go anywhere special to make it so.
Usually on a weekend I'm rushing around here there and everywhere to get everything done before being back at work on a Monday so it was odd but nice to have a sort of lazy weekend to stroll around.

Looks like things are going to get more interesting around here after everything that happened with Tumblr. I left a few years ago after a combination of real-life (grieving my Father's sudden passing) and a realization that I didn't want to be active in a place where people sent their crazy followers after someone for daring to have a different opinion. That never happened to me but I felt the need to self-censor because I didn't want to deal with that drama on top of working a 9 to 5.
Anyway, I'm gonna go check out what's new.

Today was a pretty stressful day so I was pleased to see a familiar "face" on the way to dinner :)

Today was a good day!

Wow...looking on Ebay and the price for some of the old Manga series I'm looking to complete is crazy. That doesn't include postage which is always super high from America for some reason, so I might have to do a couple of volumes at a time to save my wallet.

Also, Lately I have a craving to read really bad OEL Manga so I'm trying to get a hold of the infamous Serenity Christian Manga and InVisible (Gender swapping Model capers! lol). I've already got decent titles like Peach Fuzz and Amazing Agent Luna but they won't scratch the itch...

Now I have to try to finish my drawing for Deviant Art I've been working on for over a week but making very little progress on (It's a Volkswagen New Beetle) and take a bath.
